Rubber sleeves for pipes and technical plant components are among SDGummi's core competencies. We specialize in the cost-effective production of custom-made rubber and silicone sleeves from various elastomers.
Our cuffs are carefully handcrafted. This allows us to achieve particularly flexible production with a diverse selection of materials, individual wall thicknesses, and special designs with fabric inserts as printing substrates.
Depending on the application, material and quantity, we offer different manufacturing solutions for the optimal connection and processing of rubber and silicone sleeves.

Rubber sleeves, sealing sleeves, and pipe sleeves serve as flexible connecting elements for pipes and technical systems. They reliably compensate for vibrations, movements, and expansions, offering an economical solution for flexible pipe connections.
Our seamlessly bonded rubber sleeves allow us to access a wide range of high-quality sheet materials, enabling us to produce individual items economically.
For manufacturing, the materials are precisely cut to size. The joints are then prepared using bevel cuts, sanded, and professionally bonded. Special adhesive systems, tailored to the specific elastomer, are used to ensure a permanently stable, durable, and virtually seamless bond.

The hand-assembled rubber sleeves are wound from calendered sheets of compound onto stainless steel tubes, precisely fixed in place, and then vulcanized in an autoclave. This process creates a continuous piece of tubing, from which the rubber sleeves are then cut to the desired length.
This elaborate and energy-intensive manufacturing process is particularly suitable for small and large production runs with high technical requirements.
Vulcanized rubber sleeves are particularly recommended for demanding operating conditions – such as high temperatures, chemical exposure, or heavy mechanical stress. Special designs with fabric reinforcements as pressure carriers can also be reliably produced using this method.

Inflatable sealing sleeves are used for the dynamic sealing of powders, dust, and liquids. By inflating them with compressed air, the sleeves are fixed in defined positions within pipes or systems, reliably sealing any gaps. Typical applications include filling big bags and drums, as well as sewer rehabilitation.
Our inflatable sleeves and tubes are meticulously handcrafted to individual customer specifications. Depending on the diameter, gap size, and desired expansion, reinforcing nylon threads or fabric inserts can be integrated.
For an exceptionally long service life, we rely on highly abrasion-resistant elastomers, fully vulcanized connections, and vulcanized air connections. This makes the inflatable sleeves suitable even for demanding industrial applications with high mechanical stress.

The durability of rubber sleeves is significantly influenced by the quality of the bond, in addition to the appropriate material selection. Inexpensive sheet materials in offcut grades with overlapping adhesive joints are frequently used on the market, but these are not the optimal solution for every application.
For simple applications and smaller production runs, we manufacture handcrafted rubber sleeves from precisely scarfed sheet metal blanks. The use of heat-activated special adhesives results in virtually seamless and permanently durable connections.
For particularly high requirements regarding material durability, temperature or media resistance, we recommend vulcanized rubber sleeves made from our own elastomer compounds.
These are wound onto tubes with precise dimensions and then vulcanized in an autoclave to ensure a particularly robust and durable design.
