Materials
Six key elastomers in comparison. In total we process thirteen compounds — further materials on request.
All materials
- EPDMEthylene Propylene Diene RubberEPDM was developed to withstand environmental exposure for the long term – it is the standard material for everything that has to seal outdoors, in hot water or in steam.
- FFKMPerfluoroelastomerPerfluoroelastomer is the highest material class among elastomers: chemically compatible with nearly everything, temperature-resistant up to approx. +240 °C – and priced accordingly.
- FKMFluoroelastomer (Viton™)Fluoroelastomer – widely known under the trade name Viton™ – is the high-performance material for oils, fuels and aggressive chemicals at high temperatures.
- HNBRHydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene RubberHNBR combines the oil resistance of NBR with much higher temperature, ozone and abrasion resistance – for applications where standard NBR reaches its limits.
- NBRNitrile Butadiene RubberNBR is the standard as soon as oil is involved – seals, O-rings and moulded parts in oil-carrying systems are usually made of nitrile rubber.
- VMQSilicone RubberSilicone stays flexible where other elastomers have long embrittled or hardened – and, as a pure, taste-neutral material, it is the standard for food and medical technology.
