Why do we need more
sustainable alternatives

Due to its unique properties, rubber is irreplaceable for many applications
Annual consumption
Due to the unique mechanical properties and resistance to
aggressive chemicals and extreme temperatures are products of highly developed
Rubber, silicone and plastic qualities essential for many applications.
Through the chemical cross-linking of the rubberhowever, it is impossible
to recycle them 100% orto integrate into a circular economy,
rather only to be recycled to the greatest possible extent.
A large part of the rubber products is made from the renewable raw material natural rubber (NR)
used for its excellent mechanical properties and abrasion resistance.
Many other products are made due to more demanding chemical or physical challenges.

All rubbers are made by vulcanization, i.e. a dpressure and temperature dependent
chemical reaction crosslinked, causing thisthe customized oneschemical

synthetic rubber 15million t (2020)

Recycling of rubber products
This chemical crosslinking is only possible with complex recycling processes such as das regenerative vulcanization or pyrolysis to reverse the recycled material in to incorporate new rubber mixtures or important components such as oils, gases and carbon released and used as an energy source. Even if there are already good approaches for recycling, the recycling approaches are often too complex. A large part of the rubber waste is therefore thermally recycled or ground and granulated to be used as filling material for asphalt and concrete production, as well as in floor coverings and slabs.
REUSE
What are sustainable alternatives
Rubber products can be substituted for many applications
Thermoplastic elastomers TPE are plastics that have elastic properties
like rubber and silicone and make for a variety of rubber products
a sustainable alternative in various sectors.
Due to the thermal cross-linking, the material is 100% recyclable
and canexcellent by extrusion or injection molding.
Products made of TPE are mainly used in the automotive sector, chemicals, electrical engineering,
Window and facade construction, food industry and medical technology
used as an adequate alternative for many synthetic rubbers.
Highly developed TPE qualities have very good mechanical properties
and excellent resistance to UV, weather, many chemicals,
Gases, oils and ageing, however, are limited to approx. 140°C in the temperature range.

REDUCE
Recycling of thermoplastic elastomers
Thanks to thermal cross-linking, our sustainable solutions made of TPE are 100% recyclable and have a lower energy requirement in production and further processing. After the useful life can all thermoplastics are ground into granules and shaped again by heat be fed into the material cycle as regranulate.
